He was the drummer for the Punk Rock Band the Ramones, and is the last surviving member of the group!

The Hungarian born rocker was resented by other band members for having “it all together”.  Dee Dee Ramone said in his book (oh please!!!), ” ..being able to cook himself dinner, and organize his life in a much more functional manner, without the psychosis or addictions problems…” that Dee Dee had.  Dee Dee went on to say that “…compared to the rest of the band, he was normal…”.

Could be why he’s the only one left.

Yes, he gave us the Addams Family.

Probably the most important cartoonist of the 20th Century, Addams was known for his black humor and his sense of the macabre.

He had several recurring characters in his New Yorker cartoons, they became the Addams Family.

He published thousands of cartoons, was either the creator or inspiration for two live action Television shows, a Broadway Musical, and three films.

I grew UP with the Addams Family in print and on TV.  Millions have seen the movies.  Charles Addams was a part of the American Landscape for decades, and remains a great cartoonist.  His goal in life was to be remembered as a “good cartoonist”, I think he made it!

The Mighty Mouse Playhouse premiered on this date in 1955.

I was 3.

I loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooved Mighty Mouse.

It was without a doubt my all time favorite cartoon.

Mighty Mouse was supposed to be a parody of Superman, and was originally a fly.  But the Studio Head, Paul Terry made MM’s creator, Izzy Dean change it to a mouse.

Really – Superfly – I don’t think so!

His original name was Super Mouse, but after seven episode, he became Mighty Mouse.  And Mighty he was.

Mighty Mouse and his Play House were staples of children’s programming for over 30 years.

Oh, how I miss him.

No, it’s not Santa Claus, it’s a would be burglar who got stuck in a chimney for over 10 hours!

Norcross, Georgia Fire-Fighters pulled the 17 year old hooligan out of the chimney with a rope.

Tuesday, around 1:30 PM, a neighbor called the police and told them someone was screaming from her neighbor’s chimney.  He’d been stuck in there since 3 AM that day.

Norcross, you may remember, is where I work and the bustling crime filled ghetto where my son lives.

Once freed from the sooty stack, he was charged with burglary and giving false information to a police officer.  Why, oh, why, do people continue to lie to the police?

So, Mr. Name Withheld due to the fact that he’s a minor, congrats, you’re Redneck Latte Ravings’ Ass of the Week!

And, a quick note to Santa, if a skinny teenager can’t get down the chimney, how do you expect us to believe you can?

Recently in the AJC and on TV and the Internet, I’ve run across posts, articles, and shows that advocate a Healthy Halloween.

Bull!

OK, people, Halloween is a night to rake in the goods, real candy, good candy, none of the cheap stuff, and enough candy to make a six year old hurl for three days!

All you Earth Shoe wearing freaks need to drop out of ‘Occupy the Pumpkin Patch’ and get with the program!

Hit Wal-Mart, Target, Kroger, and the A&P and pick UP a bag or two of good, gooey, fattening, yummy candy!

What kid wants Lite pop corn balls?

Fruit drink boxes.

Boiled peanuts.

BRAN Muffins…ok, who are we kidding her?

String cheese.

Raw Veggies.

Deviled eggs!

Cereal bars, trail mix, pumpkin seeds…this is madness!

Jello Jigglers.

One dentist is giving out tooth brushes and floss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One guy is going to give containers of Pumpkin Soup, which I’m sure will look lovely splattered on his car!

A man in Atlanta, along with is completely brainwashed daughter set UP a cemetery in his front yard; it has a tombstone that simply said “Candy Bar”.

He’s giving homemade play dough as treats.

I’m waiting for the follow UP story on how many parents are going to sue his sorry ass him when the kids are rushed to the hospital because they swallowed the play dough thinking it was candy.

Let’s just say, if I show UP at your house trick or treating and walk away without a Milky Way…well, someone’s gonna’ need new tires!

There may be a whole generation out there who don’t know who he was, but there is an entire generation who remembers him VIVIDLY!
