2016 was rife with entertainment losses, but actress Barbara Rush turns 90 today.
Her last acting gig was about 10 years ago, but prior to that she was all over television.
Beginning her TV career in 1954 on the Lux Video Theatre, Rush moved on to other guest shots on the likes of The Outer Limits and such.
In 1968 she moved to the controversial and ground breaking prime time soap Peyton Place where she played an abused wife in 68 episodes!
You saw her in Ironsides, Mannix, Marcus Welby, Medical Center, The Mod Squad, Maude, and Magnum P.I.
She was in movies too.
She said a great many things over the years, but this one is my favorite:
“Never lose sight of the fact that the most important yardstick of your success will be how you treat other people – your family, friends, and coworkers, and even strangers you meet along the way.”
Wise words and ones we should all take to heart.
Happy not so Wordless Wednesday!
