It’s Palm Sunday.
Palm Sunday celebrates the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem.
UPon his entry into the City of David, the multitude praised him, laid their coats and cloaks along with palm branches in his path, proclaiming him as King.
Palm Sunday begins Passion Week in the Christian Religions worldwide, and is celebrated with masses, special services, and observances in most Christian churches.
The Four Gospels of the New Testament relate the story which was prophesied nearly 600 years before by the Prophet Zechariah.
In Zechariah 9:9, we find, “Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an ass.”
Less than a week later, the same crowd would cry out for his death.
Have a great Palm Sunday.
