Villain or Hero, Edward Snowden at the very least has us thinking.

Edward Snowden

Now, most of us don’t have a thing to worry about.  Go ahead, look at my phone records.  I don’t care.

Or do I?

It’s not that I call crazy terrorists all day long.  I have no friends in the militias, no friends who are radicals…well, there’s Jan…but seriously, just how radical can an old Hippie from Norway be?

Go ahead NSA, look me UP.

Check me out.

Read ’em and weep.

You won’t find any threats.  You’ll find my Mama, whom I call twice a day, and my sisters…also twice a day.

You might find Macy’s, and I’m sure they think I’m a threat.  Or the Doctor – a bit of a hypo here, or maybe a friend or two.

Or my boss, or my boss’ boss, and sometimes even my boss’ boss’ boss.

I’ve nothing to worry about, except the fact that the government we elected to lead us is spying on us.

Protecting me you say?  From what? My MOM?

Eavesdropping is still eavesdropping whether it’s the government or your neighbor.

Like I said, my phone calls are tame, lame, boring, and personal.

I’ve nothing to hide.

But, I don’t like the fact that it’s being done.  Spying on American citizens, listening to their conversations, tracking their contacts…really guys, stop it!

So…

Alfred E. Newman

Damn right I will.
