It’s that time of year again.  February!  The month of love.

Cupid

I hope you look forward to my month long tribute to great love affairs as much as I look forward to working on them.

I put a lot of time and effort into it, and even though sometimes I’m not completely pleased with final results, I love the research, looking for lovers, and looking for love in all the right places.

February is the shortest month of the year, but due to the generally abysmal weather, it seems the longest. These stories help to make it whiz by for me.

I look forward to your comments each day, and hope you enjoy the stories.  This year, I’ll try not to cause a family disturbance by keeping it tame.

February wasn’t always the month of love.  Hallmark did that for us.  The Romans considered it a period of purification.  Winter was a monthless period to them, and the rite of purification called Februa was a festival of washing an purification.

The Romans went to the baths, just not every day, sometimes not even every month!  I suppose instead of panties saying the days of the week, they came in 12 packs, starting with January!

Well, maybe not.

Nevertheless, from a rite of purification to the month of love, February is a great time to reconnect, show the one you love that you do, and rekindle the flame.

Maybe the UPcoming love stories will help!
