…was the code name for the car that became the Chevrolet Camaro.
It was introduced on September 29, 1966. It was the 1967 model year.
There were four generations of Camaros until production stopped in 2002.
Chevy needed its own Mustang, and Camaro was it. The car was a huge success until interest waned in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The line ended in 2002 much to the sorrow of Super Sport and Muscle Car enthusiasts.
Fortunately, the Camaro came roaring back in 2009 with a 2010 model.
The 2013, shown below, carries a price tag from just under $24,000 to just over $59,000.
In the Fall of 1966, the Camaro had a price tag ranging from $2499-$3414, but then, gas was 33 cents a gallon.
Oh, and by the way, Camaros come in many colors, but frankly, they should only come in Black! And I still want one!
