Patrick Swayze would have turned 60 today had he lived.

Swayze was born in Texas in 1952.
Forever etched in our minds as Johnny Castle, Patrick Swayze made us laugh, cry, and left us in wonder at his ability to entertain us with dance.
Born to a dancer, he was a high school athlete, dancer, actor, and super-star.
Gone too soon, his impact on American culture is huge: he’s even become a catch phrase used in Urban Music. ”…and I’m Swayze.” which simply means “I’m outta here.” Like in the movie “Ghost”.
There were memorable movies, and a few not so, but no one who’s ever seen “Dirty Dancing” will ever forget Patrick Swayze.
He gave us the time of our lives.

You can’t forget the epic SNL skit with Chris Farley in the Chippendale’s Dance Off.

I ALWAYS wished that I could move like Patrick did. He made it seem just as simple and easy as breathing. It never looked forced or awkward (always what I’ve felt like when I’ve danced).
There was once, in Mexico as a matter of fact, that I felt like the way Patrick looked. I don’t remember where we all were, but there was an older gentleman who asked me to dance. I tried desperately to decline because I didn’t know how. My parents were anti purt near anything civilized.
But, when he took me in his arms, his body and his movements and the strength of his lead took me with him and I was transported. It was like a fairy book dance, like I was a princess moving gracefully around the dance floor in the arms of a handsome prince.
And, then after a couple of dances, he went on to another young lady and I went back to being a rutabaga.
