…with the Olympics right around the corner, I thought I’d UPdate you on some interesting Olympic history.
Johnny Weissmuller broke the world record and the minute barrier in 100 meters freestyle swimming on this date in 1922. He went on to play Tarzan of course, but before that he kicked some international Speedo at the Olympics in 1924 and 1928. He racked UP five gold medals. He also won a bronze medal as part of the US Water Polo Team.

His record breaking swim brought his time down to 58.6 seconds.
So, on this Monday, when you’re rushing out to work, don’t try to break any records getting there – who would want to? – and just think, the Olympics are only a couple of weeks away!
Are you Olympic ready?

Love my Johnny! I got to swim in Chicago at a pool he trained in. It was indoor and on some crazy higher level floor and it was beautiful! I did my best Jane swim and my swim instructor always laughed at us when we swam the crawl with our heads out of water and called us Tarzan!Bring on the summer olympics!!!!

And yes, Lord willing, it will be a “real” vacation,

“How was your vacation?”
