With all the scandal boiling around our own Secret Service, it’s nice to know that Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II can call on hers for help.
Well, he’s not really secret service, he’s actually James Bond.

You know, Bond, James Bond.
2012 marks the 50 anniversary of the Bond franchise, and the Summer Olympics are being held in Merrie Olde England this summer.
It’s a big year for Her Majesty’s subjects. Olympics, Bond Anniversary, and the Queen, herself is celebrating 60 years on the throne.
So, to pull the three together, Daniel Craig and Queen Elizabeth II have made a film together.

Move over Britt, Halle, and all the rest, she’s taking over.
Yes, she’s the new Bond Girl.
Not to worry folks, there are no steamy love scenes, no bikini clad monarchs rising out of the ocean, and only a few bad guys. To make the film, producers were given “unprecedented access” to Her Majesty, her private apartments, and the Palace. The film will open the Summer Olympics, and it’s designed to celebrate the British, their favorite movie character, their queen, and their impact on Olympic history.
Produced by Danny Boyle of Slumdog Millionaire fame, the ‘short’ will consist of Her Majesty giving Bond a mission to open the games.
We know he can act, let’s just hope she can…well, maybe she can…I mean, who could really love those kids of hers, and she seems to have most of us convinced!
Frankly, I can’t wait!

I love the idea of the Queen being a Bond girl, she totally bust to pieces all our preconceived ideas about what it takes to be a Bond girl…. go girl!
