I’m thinking today of my Dad.
Easter was his favorite ‘religious’ holiday.
Oh, Christmas was important to him, after all, without the birth of Christ, there’d be no Easter.
But, Easter gave him reason to live, reason to preach, and a reason for his vocation.

It was all about the Gospel, how Jesus gave his life for the sins of the world. The Death, Burial, and Resurrection of Christ paid the price for all of us. He used to say that without Easter and the empty tomb, there’d be no Christianity, no reason to live.
So, Happy Easter.
Remember the reason for the day.

You NEED to read this week’s Newsweek. The cover story; “Forget the church. Follow Jesus” by Andrew Sullivan.
