George Allen, the 67th Governor of Virginia turned 60 this week.
He was 41 when elected to the Governor’s chair back in 1993. Just like all Virginia Governors, he could not succeed himself. Virginia is the only state in the Union with a constitution which prohibits a governor from doing so.
He’s found plenty to do after leaving the Governor’s office, he defeated Senator Charles Robb and went to Washington, D.C. He’s in the ‘private’ sector now, but hasn’t bowed out of politics altogether.
Like the Governator, he’ll probably be bach!
Happy Birthday, Governor Allen!
