FYI – there won’t be any pictures on this post!

A 20-year-old dumb ass in California man was arrested last week.

Ok, that alone is probably not a big deal, I’m sure many young men were arrested in California last week.

But, this nimrod was accused of planting spyware on dozens of computers to secretly photograph women in a state of undress, according to Fullerton Police.

Trevor Harwell was cuffed and booked at the Fullerton PD station after detectives found hundreds of thousands of dirty pictures on his computer.  This comes from the lips of  Fullerton Police Spokesman Sgt. Andrew Goodrich.

Harwell is accused of installing the program, which gave him remote access to the user’s computer and webcam, while working as a technician for a local computer repair company.

Can you say Freak Squad?

“Once he had access, he would take photographs of the users, usually women. Often, the female victims were undressed or changing clothes,” Goodrich said.

Then Harwell stored the photos on a remote server and like the total dumbass he is eventually downloaded them to his own computer.

Police began investigating Harwell after a tip from a Fullerton resident.  The unidentified Fullertonian contacted the fuzz over a suspicious message on his daughter’s computer.

The message, designed to mimic a system error, advised her of a problem with an “internal sensor” and said: “If unsure what to do, try putting your laptop near hot steam for several minutes to clean the sensor.”

And people bought this.

Computer literate…I think not!

The police spokesman said users who got the message or a  similar message took their laptops into the bathroom while they showered.  Harwell’s webcam was running the entire time and he photographed them undressing or naked.

Don’t you miss the good old days when people sent dirty pictures of themselves instead of taking dirty pictures of other people?

Was that really just last week?
