Until yesterday, I had not been on a plane since 1999.
I hate flying. And I have a fear of flying.
This started way before 9-11, way before you could only take 2 oz bottles of what ever the heck you need to use while away, and way before the TSA got new uniforms and a new attitude.
Way before Osama.
Way before…way before…waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay before!
I hate flying.
Erica Jong wrote a book called Fear of Flying back in the 80s.
I would rather drive, it’s better, and among other things, I can pull off the road a pee when I need to.
And when I’m flying, I ALWAYS need to pee.
Well, I’m flying today.
Back from Ft. Lauderdale.
I was a “President’s Club”, a function hosted by “the place where I work”.
They really do things the way things should be.
And we had a great time.
So, I’ll be flying, and I’ll be reading.
But I won’t be checking the computer, so your comments might take a while to get approved!
Be patient with me.
I’m flying, but I’m not enjoying it.
Oh, and BTW, Fear of Flying by Erica Jong, isn’t really about flying!
I plan on UPdating you about President’s Club when I get back!
*special note to Country Wife, City Mom…you’ll like this one, if you haven’t read it already!
