…I’m on the road today travelling to Ohio with my sister, Judy.  We’re headed to our Dad’s funeral.

Lots of memories coming back, and they are so helpful.

It’s a long trip, but the time together will be good, and we can remember and share our love of each other and him.

He was a great dad, we didn’t always see eye to eye, but he used to say, “When two people agree on everything, one of them is no longer necessary.”

So, I’ve always found something to disagree about with him along the way…it kept life more interesting.

Life will be less so without him.  He was so smart, had a huge vocabulary, and knew so much.

He taught me so much.  Helped me so much, and loved me so much.

But, I can’t be sad.  I don’t think he’d want that.  He’s much better off now.  No heart problems any longer, no failing kidneys, and no aches and pains.

I have to be happy for him, even though I’m sad for us.

And Dad, Judy and aren’t fighting in the car, and she’s not in my space, and she’s not touchin’ me, but she is messin’ with the radio!

Oh, and we miss you.
