I’m really not all that opposed to ‘ground-breakers”, I mean really, where would we be without Jonas Salk, or Sabin, or DeBakey.

Thomas Edison gave us light in our homes, Henry Ford the assembly line, and mass produced automobiles; he got the country moving.

So, in reality I say, go ahead, push the envelope, take a chance, change our lives.

But in some cases, do we need it?

Madonna, comes to mind.

Ground breaker, masturbating on stage, obscene coffee table book, psycho sexual sacreligious videos.  Undies on the outside.

Doesn’t anyone say no to her?

So, to my point. 

Do I enjoy some of their music?  Yes.

Are they “pretty”?  In most cases yes.

Are they influencing fashion, music, morals, our children? 

Yes.

Maybe they shouldn’t be.
