Fashion Friday…Don’t Be A Bad Santa…

…at a Christmas Party.
UP is really not a big fan of Christmas, at least not of what it’s become.
And REALLY REALLY REALLY not a fan of Cutsie Christmas Clothing for men.
Sadly, it wasn’t always so…UP has a Christmas Sweater or two that make his other sweaters hang their heads in shame. But, alas, no more!
Time and maturity have fixed some of that…and though from time to time I long for the outrageous, I refrain, restrain, and I’ve even removed!
Guys, this Holiday Season, do you really think you should show up anywhere wearing any of these?

…or…this…

And it goes beyond cute, and way beyond ugly.
It even goes beyond things that Goodwill refuses to take.
Really, do ya’ think your gonna’ impress the boss in this?

…or this…

,,,or this…

So, for Christmas at home, Christmas at work, and Christmas Social Gatherings…play it safe.
Christmas colors are fine. Try some solid ones…

or neutrals…

Guys, wear colors that suit YOU best, not the season. If you don’t know what suits you best, ASK HER !
If there’s no her, ask the cute lady at Macy’s.
If there is no one to ask, take a note from Jenny’s Bobby, black works every time.
And if there’s really no one to ask, ASK ME!
You may have to play Santa at home, but you don’t have to represent him in public.

And, Ladies…
…that simple black dress may be just the thing to impress your guests or make all the other girls jealous.

You can stand on your own in a room without STANDING OUT in the room.
And…since many of the guys can’t always get the right “holiday look”…subtle advice will be welcome!
So, guys…if you ask her, and you probably should…LISTEN TO HER!
Don’t be a Bad Santa!

awesome advice! Last night to Joshua’s Christmas program I wore a red sweater, black & white scarf, gray-blue jeans, black boots. I thought it said “I like Christmas but I like fashion also”.
